Dr. Tanya Pereira’s area of clinical expertise encompasses the evaluation and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with renal disease and hypertension, including dialysis and kidney transplantation. Dr. Pereira has a special interest in glomerular research. She was awarded a Neptune Career Development Fellowship and has conducted translational research in nephrotic syndrome. She is also the principal investigator of a study evaluating the long-term treatment outcomes of children with lupus nephritis; the results of her work were published in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. She actively participates in teaching nephrology to medical student and pediatric residents.
