Tess Eliopoulos, LMSW, is a clinical social worker who earned her master’s degree from the Columbia School of Social Work. She has experience working with children and young adults ages 4 to 21 in residential, school, and community-based settings. Tess began her career supporting children with autism in homes and clinics, helping them develop self-care, socialization, and communication skills. Most recently, she served as a residential social worker on a therapeutic farm, where she provided individual, group, and family therapy in connection with animals and nature.
Her clinical experience includes working with youth experiencing symptoms of depression, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. Tess also has significant experience supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community, with an emphasis on affirming and inclusive practices.
Tess’s therapeutic priority is to collaborate with young individuals and their families to create treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and preferences. To do this, she incorporates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and art therapy. She is committed to providing a therapeutic environment that allows children to move at their own pace while feeling empowered to make decisions about their care.
