Dr. Seiden is a Board Certified Pediatric Cardiologist with dedicated training and experience in pediatric cardiac critical care. After graduating from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, he completed pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship training at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He then completed advanced fellowship training in pediatric cardiac critical care at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Seiden's primary clinical interests include post-operative intensive care management after cardiac surgery, heart failure, and complex congenital heart disease in children. He has led quality improvement initiatives for hospitalized children, in particular for those in intensive care and with chronic heart failure, including participation in the National Pediatric Cardiology Quality Improvement Collaborative.
Dr. Seiden is an innovative and devoted educator and mentor to medical students and post-graduate trainees in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. His research interests include outcomes, quality improvement, and health equity in children with heart disease. Dr. Seiden is a member of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society and is past President of the Pediatric Cardiology Society of Greater New York. Dr. Seiden has proudly served on multiple pediatric cardiac surgical missions in Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Romania, and Vietnam.
