Dr. Oya Levendoglu-Tugal is a pediatric hematologist / oncologist with extensive experience in the treatment of various cancers and hematologic disorders in children.
She is particularly interested in histiocytic disorders, neuroblastoma and lymphoid malignancies, including leukemia and lymphomas in children and young adults.
She actively takes part in conducting the clinical trials of the Children’s Oncology Group at the institution.
She also participates in the clinical trials of International Histiocytosis Group, National Wilms Tumor Study Group, and International Rhabdomyosarcoma Group, and treats patients according to current standards. As part of the team, she has been providing care for children with various hematological disorders, including sickle cell anemia, platelet disorders and hemoglobinopathies in New York’s Hudson Valley and Westchester County.
She has also been primarily involved in the care of children with hemophilia and bleeding disorders. She has conducted clinical studies in hemophilia and bleeding disorders, as well as new drug trials.
