
Dr. Winthrop earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College, followed by a medical degree from The Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, his Chief Residency in Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, and fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Winthrop’s clinical interests include point of care ultrasound, medical education, procedural education, and modes of respiratory support. Additionally, he is actively involved ultrasound education with the Society of Critical Care Medicine and co-lead of the advanced airway management workshop with the World Federation of Pediatric Intensive & Critical Care Societies.
Outside of work, Dr. Winthrop enjoys spending time with his family, taking his dog on hiking trails throughout Westchester county, attending farmer’s markets, and cooking.
