Patricia Pehme

We are excited to announce that Patricia M. Pehme, PhD has joined BCHP and will be based in the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation. While her location will be within Hematology/Oncology, Dr. Pehme will provide neuropsychological evaluation services to patients referred from primary care and specialty divisions.

Dr. Pehme earned her undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in biology in 2007.She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, in 2022 and recently completed a two-year fellowship at the Neuropsychology and Learning Service at NYU Langone Child Study Center. Dr. Pehme’s clinical interests focus on integrating neuropsychology services into medical specialty patient care. She works with a range of conditions including but not limited to epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurocognitive disorders. Dr. Pehme’s aim is to help families and providers understand the child’s needs and recommend appropriate support to help them thrive at home, in school, and in the community. Additionally, Dr.Pehme is fluent in Polish.

Dr. Pehme’s research interests center on child development and she is passionate about teaching and training future clinicians. Outside of work, Dr. Pehme enjoys spending time in nature.
