Shilpa Sood

Dr. Shilpa Sood is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist with extensive experience in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and transplant hepatology. Dr. Sood recently completed a fellowship in pediatric transplant hepatology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Throughout her career, Dr. Sood has been actively involved in research, with a focus on cystic fibrosis, intestinal microbiome assessment, and innovative treatment approaches such as fecal microbiota transplantation. Her dedication to education is evident in her numerous teaching roles, including mentoring medical students and pediatric residents. Recognized for her contributions to the field, she has received multiple awards, including a grant from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Best Clinical Research Abstract Award.
