Cynthia Cohen

Cynthia Cohen, MD FAAP was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. 

While attending Columbia College she met her husband Jonathan, who grew up in Tappan and went to Orangetown Pediatrics. Although Jonathan convinced her that the suburbs were the ideal place to raise kids, academic pursuits kept them in Manhattan for 7 more years. Dr. Cohen attended NYU School of Medicine and then Babies and Children’s Hospital of Columbia Presbyterian (now renamed The Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York Presbyterian) for internship and residency in Pediatrics. 

When she started considering pediatric positions, a chance meeting between her mother-in-law and former office manager Evelyn Winikoff (whose husband Dr. Donald Winikoff founded the practice) in the Northvale ShopRite led to an interview in Tappan. The rest, as they say, is history.
