Deena Blanchard

Deena Blanchard MD, MPH, is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 14 years of experience providing comprehensive medical care to children of all ages. Dr. Blanchard worked at a New York City private pediatric practice before joining Pediatrics of Sleepy Hollow. She completed her residency training at Columbia University. There she served as a physician advocate for families as part of the family advisory committee and was awarded Physician of the Year in 2007. Before attending medical school, she completed a master’s of public health degree at Temple University, specifically focusing on health education. Dr. Blanchard attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she was awarded both Alpha Omega Alpha and the American Medical Women’s Association Glascow-Rubin Achievement award.

Dr. Blanchard is passionate about breastfeeding and child development. She is committed to partnering with parents to help guide them through all stages of parenting, from birth through completing college. She has a particular interest in child and adolescent mental health, and has completed additional education and training in diagnosing and managing pediatric and adolescent mental health concerns. Dr. Blanchard enjoys building solid, long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families and is excited to meet you and your children!

Dr. Blanchard lives in Westchester with her husband and three sons. Outside work, she can be found hanging out with her family, skiing, cooking, painting, and volunteering in her local community. Dr. Blanchard sees patients Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Monday in addition to weekend coverage
