Professional History

Jillian Roos is a dedicated mental health counselor with extensive experience supporting adolescents, young adults and their families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. She holds multiple professional credentials including Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit, National Certified Counselor, and Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee.

Jillian has provided individual and group therapy across diverse clinical settings, working with individuals facing eating disorders (such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, and OSFED), obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), allowing her to tailor treatment to meet the unique needs of each patient and family.

Jillian earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. Her undergraduate and graduate studies were supplemented by fieldwork in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and inpatient psychiatric care. Since graduating, Jillian has worked with adolescents and young adults with eating disorders, depression, anxiety and OCD in residential treatment (RTC), partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care.

Jillian is passionate about holistic, person-centered care. She partners with patients and their families to help young people explore and embrace their true selves, beyond their diagnoses. At our practice, she works alongside our providers to support patients and families with a wide range of concerns. Jillian provides short-term mental health support, coping strategies, and care coordination with community providers to ensure continuity and comprehensive care.
