Wendy has a highly collaborative and compassionate approach to working with her patients. Based on their clinical needs and personal preferences, Wendy provides them with individualized nutrition plans in order to maximize their health outcomes.
As a young mother focused on her children’s well-being, Wendy was drawn to the connection between diet and health. She returned to school and earned her Master’s Degree in Nutrition Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, where she also completed her dietetic internship. Soon after, she obtained her Registered Dietitian certification.
Born and raised in New York, Wendy has a long-standing affection for and interest in the city's cultural diversity and beyond. She received her undergraduate degree from Boston University with a major in International Relations. Prior to joining BCHP, Wendy worked with a predominantly Latino and West African pediatric population at BronxCare Health System. She speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese.
