Rubina Bhatia, MD, FAAP, practiced at North Rockland Pediatrics in 2006 and 2007. She moved on to become the medical director of the Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center where she still works full time. There, she cares for patients, guides quality and safety practices, and develops health programs. Some of her special interests are well-baby care, skin issues, behavioral and emotional matters, developmental and learning concerns, and obesity.
She has performed research in the quality of pediatric asthma care. She has provided education to new and expecting parents in newborn health and safety. She performs procedures like ear piercing and laser hair removal. Dr. Bhatia is a graduate of the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College of Gujarat University, India. She completed her residency in dermatology at the Government Hospital of Chandigarh, India. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She and Dr. Troy volunteer for the Board of Health of their hometown.
