Akhil Maheshwari

Dr. Akhil Maheshwari is a board-certified neonatologist with more than two decades of clinical and academic experience. He received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed residency training in pediatrics at the University of Florida and fellowship training in neonatology at the University of South Florida. Over the years, Dr. Maheshwari has held key leadership roles at top institutions including the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, and the University of Illinois College of Medicine. In addition to his extensive publication record and NIH-funded research, he is a committed mentor and educator, helping shape the next generation of neonatal clinicians and scientists.
