Mental and behavioral health

At North Star Pediatrics, we believe a child's emotional wellbeing is just as important as their physical health. Our practice includes a dedicated mental and behavioral health team of three licensed clinicians. They work alongside our physicians and nurse practitioners to provide integrated, whole-child care. Using evidence-based approaches, our team supports children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and developmental differences, including autism spectrum disorder. By embedding mental health support directly within our practice, we make it easier for you to access compassionate, individualized care close to home.

Vaccine information

North Star Pediatrics follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended vaccine schedule to safely and effectively protect children from serious, preventable diseases. Childhood immunizations are a vital part of keeping children, families, and our communities healthy, and we encourage parents to discuss any vaccine questions with their child’s provider. Please see our resources page for the schedule our office follows for childhood vaccination.

Telephone consultations

Our lines are always open to you. Call us when you are worried, need advice, or have an emergency. You will be asked to describe the symptom or concern to our office staff or answering service. A physician or nurse practitioner will return your call within 30 minutes. If you feel you are dealing with an emergency, please make that clear on the call. If we feel an appointment is necessary, we will advise you and help schedule a time that works for you and your child.
