Dafna earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology from Stony Brook University and Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts. She then earned master’s degrees in Social Work from Hunter College and Infant and Family Development from Bank Street College of Education.

Dafna has extensive experience working with young children and families and has a special interest in supporting the relationships between young children and their parents or caregivers. She has completed specialized training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing, and has worked with individuals and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

Dafna is particularly passionate about working with infants and young children from birth through age five, as well as supporting parents through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood. She also enjoys working with couples and helping them strengthen communication, connection, and their relationships during times of change.

Dafna takes a warm and compassionate approach to therapy and strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients can better understand themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they are facing. Having grown up in a multicultural family, she has a particular appreciation for issues related to identity, culture, and belonging. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish and speaks Hebrew.
