
Angela is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) who will provide diabetes self-management education to children and adolescents diagnosed with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus, both during their inpatient care and in outpatient follow-up. Her outpatient services will offer comprehensive care for children and adolescents, followed by the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology.
Angela brings over seven years of experience as a registered dietitian, having worked in both adult and pediatric primary care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware and completed her Dietetic Internship at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.
Angela’s goal is to offer evidence-based diabetes self-management education in alignment with care guidelines set by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES). Her focus is to work closely with providers, families, and care teams to support children and adolescents, providing care that complements medical treatment and improves quality of life.
