Dr. Mazo's clinical expertise focuses on the treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with glomerulonephritis, hypertension, tubular disorders, kidney stones, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. Her special interest lies in lupus nephritis and hypertension.
Dr. Mazo is a part of the Pediatric Nephrology Research Consortium study on lupus nephritis outcomes and participates in the study of steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome management. She actively participates in teaching nephrology to medical students and pediatric residents.
Dr. Mazo graduated from Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in Russia. After completing her residency, fellowship, and PhD program, she was part of a research group that created the Russian national recommendations for the diagnosis and management of atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome.
She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Westchester Medical Center and a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at Montefiore Medical Center
