Dr. Pereira has focused her clinical education toward the care of pediatric through adult patients in integrated care and health service psychology. Her residency and fellowship focused on treating pediatric patients with chronic medical conditions using evidence-based treatments and team science. She now treats patients within the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.

I believe patients heal from their medical experiences when an integrated team approaches care of not just the child but the family unit. Understanding who our patients are allows us to approach care in a compassionate and insightful way. In doing so we can pick the best evidence-based treatment plan that is both sensitive and effective for the patient’s needs.
